In 2015, YouTube launched YouTube Red to give users a better experience than the free version of YouTube. For $10 a month members were given access to ad-free videos, all-new original shows, and more.
Now the online giant has replaced YouTube Red with YouTube Premium. What’s the difference? In addition to ad-free streaming, subscribers now have access to Google Play Music, a music and podcast streaming service which boasts a library of more than 40 million tracks.
A subscription now costs $12 a month and enables users to listen to music without ads, upload their own music to play, and download songs and playlists for offline listening.
