Nature is truly our mother! It has a role in everything we do for our survival and growth. No matter how much we gain knowledge about ourselves and our surroundings, nature surprises us every time. We are so connected to this divine existence that it touches us in every phase of our life. But did you know that nature can mould your personality? Researchers found that the weather conditions you grow up in have a great impact on forming your personality traits.
A study conducted by American and Chinese researchers shows that weather can be an influencing factor in determining your personality. So, if you are loved by people around you, you must have been bought up in soothing weather conditions and if the other way, blame it on your hometown.
These experts gave personality tests to thousands of students in America and China. All the students participated live in the area where they grew up.
Later, these scientists compared the tests with local weather data. There was something unique that they found in the students who belong to rainy and snowy regions, they scored lower on key personality traits.
This indicates that cold and rainy weather can dampen your enthusiasm. But one of the study’s co-author says that it is never too late to give yourself an attitude transformation and her formula involves relocating somewhere pleasant and warm.
A professor at the University of Texas has come up with an exact temperature to make people friendlier. He has stated that growing up in a not so cold or warm weather motivates children to go outside more. This results in meeting strangers, having a conversation and forming relations and build their social skills that help them be friendly adults.
72-degree Fahrenheit is the suitable temperature for people to be the friendliest. But relocating to a warmer place might not yield you good results as people get a self-esteem boost from living near similar people.
These studies show us that we tend to become an adult depending on our native’s weather conditions but at the same time, it’s also important to know that it’s never too late for anyone to learn new things in life and add those experiences to mould your personality.
