Chinese doctor confesses to murder for getting ‘live organs’

The Hippocratic Oath that doctors take is to uphold universal medical ethics. So it takes a lot of courage for a doctor to own up that he has been party to an organized murder for illegal organ trading.

Chinese doctor, Enver Tohti, confessed to a panel of experts that he participated in China’s lucrative practice of killing innocent prisoners of faith for their organs. Like all other “live organ” Chinese surgeons, he thought that he was fulfilling his duty to “eliminate the enemy of the state.”

“Every time I give this account it seems like a confession,” said Dr. Tohti at an Irish government committee in Dublin.

He was still alive, but I didn’t feel guilty. In fact, I didn’t feel anything but like a full-programmed robot doing its task.

Dr. Tohti said he performed an organ harvesting operation in the 1990s. He noted how in the authoritarian Chinese society, under the communist rule, you become a complacent slave—a “fully-programmed member of society, ready to fulfill the task ahead without asking questions.”

He said one day in the year 1995, two chief surgeons asked him to assemble a team for “the largest possible surgery.” The next morning, Dr. Tohti and his team were brought outside the hospital and told to wait for gunshots.

“After gunshots were heard, we rushed in. An armed officer directed us to the far-right corner, where I can see a civilian-clothed man lying on the ground with a single bullet wound to his right chest,” Tohti said.

Dr. Tohti recalled that the chief surgeons then ordered and guided him to extract the liver and two kidneys of the injured man.

“The man was alive,” Dr. Tohti said. “He tried to resist my scalpel cut, but [he was] too weak to avoid my action.”

“He was still alive, but I didn’t feel guilty. In fact, I didn’t feel anything but like a full-programmed robot doing its task. I thought I was carrying [out] my duty in eliminating an enemy of the state,” he added.

After the operation, the chief surgeon told him to take his team back to hospital and to “remember that nothing happened.” Dr. Tohti said that he regrets committing this act, and is therefore dedicated to campaign against this mass genocide.

The main body of victims of these live organ transplants is from practitioners of Falun Gong [1] (or Falun Dafa)—a meditation practice based on the universal values of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.” In 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners, which continues to this day.

Hundreds of thousands of practitioners are imprisoned in the vast network of labor camps across China at any one time and are highly vulnerable to being put on lists for organ extraction.

In most countries, once a patient is put on an organ transplant list, wait times can be months or years, depending on the type of organ. But what independent investigations have found is that for patients going to China, an organ can be procured within days or weeks

Over 10,000 organs are transplanted in China every year, yet there are only a tiny number of people on the official donor register. China has become a destination for people wanting to avoid waiting lists and get a quick transplant. The industry is said to be worth a billion dollars.

But where do the organs come from since China had no organ-donation system until 2010?

China insists executed prisoners are the source—but independent investigations have exposed the shameless truth that these harvested organs are sourced by killing, and the victims are mostly practitioners of Falun Gong.

The evidences strongly conclude [2] that the forced organ harvesting is an organized mass murder of innocent people practicing the spiritual faith of Falun Gong, and other minority groups like Tibetan Buddhists, Uighur and house Christians.
